Urban Spaces Goodwill Charter – no more “gazumping” or “gazundering”...
At Urban Spaces we always look to find new ways to protect our vendors and buyers. That's how the Urban Spaces Goodwill Charter came into existence – we encourage our customers to play fair. What's more, "gazumping and gazundering" can waste time for all involved and we want to streamline the process and remove the headache.
“Gazumping” is when a seller has accepted an offer, but then sells to another buyer who offers to pay a higher price. “Gazundering” is when, just before an exchange of contracts, a buyer suddenly lowers their offer price, in the hope that the seller will be forced to accept.
Designed to prevent both of these inconvenient realities of the property market, our unique “Goodwill Charter” has been developed to encourage a ‘talk-straight’ approach to buying and selling. And it’s worked! We have seen the risk of gazumping and gazundering minimised by up to 75%. Now that’s a result!
